Atlanta's dinner-club tradition

Start with the thing Atlanta does that almost no other city does at scale: facilitated singles dinners. Eight at Eight Dinner Club is the institution: four single men and four single women, matched by the club, at dinner at a good restaurant. It's been running for decades, it's now down to just two cities (Atlanta and New York, which tells you where it works), and packages run a few hundred dollars for a series of dinners. • Go alone. It feels harder and works better; groups close themselves off without meaning to.
