Atlanta has the most organized singles-event tradition of any city we cover: a decades-old dinner-club scene, busy mixers, huge Meetup groups, and social clubs that plan your calendar for you. Here's what actually runs, who runs it, and where to find this week's dates.

Atlanta's dinner-club tradition
Start with the thing Atlanta does that almost no other city does at scale: facilitated singles dinners.Eight at Eight Dinner Club is the institution: four single men and four single women, matched by the club, at dinner at a good restaurant. It's been running for decades, it's now down to just two cities (Atlanta and New York, which tells you where it works), and packages run a few hundred dollars for a series of dinners. Table for Six runs the same format at smaller scale, including dedicated dinners for Black singles. The format's advantage over speed dating is real: two hours of actual conversation instead of twelve five-minute interviews, and the club does the inviting, so the table is age-matched and intentional. If you're a professional over 30 who hates apps, this is the strongest single option in the city.
Mixers fill the gap between a dinner club's structure and a bar's randomness.
What else is actually on
Speed dating and mixers: MyCheekyDate's hosted nights at Wicked Wolf and Establishment, Pre-Dating's classic rounds, and rotating Eventbrite mixers across Midtown and Buckhead. Every organizer is compared in the speed dating guide.
Social clubs that do the planning:Events and Adventures runs a members-only calendar (happy hours, trivia, outings, trips) for Atlanta singles; it's the subscription version of having a social life. Meetup's free equivalents below get you most of the way for nothing.
The Meetup scene: enormous here. Atlanta Singles Social Club (happy hours and game nights), Solving Single ATL (monthly events for single professionals), the Atlanta Outdoor Club for Singles (hikes and brewery outings, 35-60+), and dozens of age-banded and interest-banded groups.
Black singles events: one of the deepest calendars in the country, from Black ATL Speed Dating to Table for Six's dedicated dinners to BLK's own Atlanta mixers. The Black singles guide covers the whole circuit.
The festival calendar: spring through fall, Atlanta's festival circuit (Dogwood, the food-and-wine events, the BeltLine Lantern Parade) is a rolling series of singles events in all but name: outdoor, social, and crowded with people in a good mood.
Where to find this week's events
Eventbrite: the master calendar. Search "singles" for Atlanta and nearly every mixer and speed dating night shows up, tickets included.
Meetup: where the recurring groups live. Atlanta's singles Meetup scene is one of the largest in the country; join two groups and your calendar fills itself.
The organizers directly: Eight at Eight, MyCheekyDate, and Events and Adventures all publish their own Atlanta calendars.
How to actually enjoy one
Go alone. It feels harder and works better; groups close themselves off without meaning to.
Arrive at the start. The first 30 minutes is when the room is still mixing.
Set a small goal. Two real conversations makes the night a win.
Match the format to your personality. Hate timers? Dinner club. Hate small talk marathons? Speed dating. Hate name tags? The outdoor groups, where the trail does the talking.
Can't make an event?
The event crowd is online the other six nights of the week. See Atlanta singles near you, free to join and browse.
Mixers typically $10-30, speed dating $25-50, Meetup groups often free. The dinner clubs are the premium tier: a few hundred dollars for a package of matched dinners.
What ages go?
Every listing states its range. The mixers and speed dating fill 25-48 most reliably; the dinner clubs and outdoor groups skew 35-60; the Meetup scene has genuinely active groups for every decade.
Are there singles events for Black singles specifically?
Atlanta has the deepest dedicated calendar in America: Black ATL Speed Dating, Table for Six's Black singles dinners, BLK's mixers, and Meetup groups. The Black singles guide covers it fully.
Are there Christian singles events in Atlanta?
Yes, at scale: Atlanta's large churches run active singles ministries with real calendars, and Eventbrite lists dedicated Christian singles nights. Search "Christian singles" on Eventbrite for current dates.
